Struggling but getting through it, originally uploaded by sewfantastic2009.
This project turned out a little hard, but nothing that I didn't expect. I did decide to go with the handkerchief linen as it was much more lightweight. With all the folding that is involved I though in the long run this would be better.
I think for any tips that might be useful if you want to try this. I would recommend this fabric using a lot of starch. I cut the linen oversized, then starched it and iron it to get a slighter stiff feel. Then I cut the square out that I needed.
As far as the color, I would wait to add that at the end when all the blocks line up. The reason for this is because the points I think show to much thread doing them separately.
Have you tried this yet??
