A Big Announcement

So I have been waiting to tell everyone because it was kind of a "let's see how it goes first" kinda thing. About 4 months ago I was asked by a few people to do some wholesale orders for their personal boutiques. After reviewing my costs for supplies as well as changing up a few products and buying more bulk. I was able to finally offer wholesale prices. The first 4 boutiques that packages were sent to all came back within 30 days for another order. Everyone had great stories about how well they had sold all of their items and how eager they were to buy more from me.

I am so very blessed by my etsy success, as well as all of the friends I have made here in blog land. I am proud to share with you that Sew-Fantastic items are now being sold in 17 US boutiques and 1 in Australia. Negotiations are emerging for other countries as well. Even the new Sketcher wallet that was introduced to the shop earlier this week is on it's way to a new home.

I just wanted to first of all thank god publicly for my continued success. I also want to thank my supporting family as well as friends in life an in blog land.

I hope everyone signed up for the giveaway from an earlier post, I will be drawing the winner tomorrow. Also stop by Joy's Hope for another giveaway from my shop, and follow her blog to, it's wonderful. Thanks again everyone, I wish you all much success as well.

Wonky Log cabin Rainbow scrap quilt and a new product peak

So this is what I have been working on. Six squares 14 x 14 inches each White sashing in between. I really wanted the color to pop that is why the white worked out so well. I used mostly fabrics from my scrap bin, and the white I bought at Joann's fabrics. It's a quilters only cotton at 4.99 a yard. Great price so I had to try it very close to Kona solids in texture.
A few of you have asked for a tutorial, and even though these blocks were free hand; I am sure I can whip up something for you all to be able to follow and make your own. Stay Tuned
Me and Sophia have been learning colors, her favorite seems to be red and purple at the moment.
I was able to get a new product finished for the shop as well. Much different from the original plan, but I love it just the same. I call it the Sketcher Wallet.
I will officially feature it soon on my blog, but for now here is a sneak peak since I only have a few listed as of yet.

Alright I better get back to work now. I have a few wholesale orders to finish and a couple birthday parties, so hopefully I can get back to that quilt soon.

So if there is enough interest in the tutorial for the wonky block I will be happy to make one for all of you. Just let me know. Happy sewing everyone.

Guess what I am working on... Sneak Peak

Man I really need to get the hang of how lighting works when you take pictures. (so sorry about the realy bad photo) I am definitely no photographer, but I am a quilter. And look! I am actually quilting today. I started playing with some scraps last night to get the crayons wallets off the brain for a bit. It wound up hoarding my whole day. So for now this is all you get until I have some more time to post the rest of it. It's coming along nicely. My rainbow scrappy quilt.

What a BLOWOUT! Purchase

So check this out. I know, nothing fancy but guess what, I love it just the same. I bought this iron 2 days ago to replace a Black and Decker something or other that I had for about 2 years. I didn't really shop around, as I am not a real picky person when it comes to irons. There are a few features that I look for but the name brand is not one of them.

So here is my story about the old iron.
I was ironing away making my usual crayon wallets, when all of a sudden a light flickered from inside my iron. Yes I saw the inside of the iron through the light (weird I know). So anyway, it's flashing lights from the inside, then shuts off and black smoke begins to pour out of the iron from every crack. I MEAN BLACK! And lots of it, this smoke scared the poop outta me.
I yanked on the cord to pull it out of the wall as soon as I registered what was going on. Whew!! Talk about a close call.
It was the creepiest thing I have ever seen.

So needless to say, turns out to be an internal short and not fixable of course so I bought this lovely beauty you see above, yes in the Lime green to. I wanted the orange but no luck finding it. I love the way it irons to, this sucker gets hot making it so easy to work with and under 30 dollars. So now I have a new iron, without the tremendous price tag. I just love new stuff don't you.
Do you have any iron stories that you would like to share?

Swap anyone?????

So I am pondering a fabric swap with all the crafty blog readers out there. Something along the lines of maybe 5x5 inch charms or even coins. A little way for us all to mix up our stash a little an have the chance to make something beautiful with it.

I am thinking maybe a coin quilt challange. Send 40 coins in all different scraps from your "designer" stash, then mix them up and send them back. When we get them create a flicker group showing off what we make with them.

What do you all think? Would there be any interest in this? It would be monitered well so that only designer fabrics can be used.
(Anything not of quality I will send back to the person who sent them make sense) sorry I am such a fabric snob :)

Who would like to take part??? I am thinking end of august early September they will be recieved by, that way when the kids go back to school we can all have a fun peacful project.

I know you all have some great idea's to, so what do you think??

Just to clarify the coins would be about 2.5 x 5 inches in an array of different prints. Some doubles are ok but no solids.

Show an Tell :: My Swap Package

I almost forgot to share:: What's wrong with me. My wonderful F.R.I.E.N.D.S. swap package arrived from Naomi, all the way from Australia. As soon as I opened it stuff was being claimed. For instance my husband loves peach, so he took the peach chocolates. Sophia claimed the handmade doll that smelled divine, as well as the cute little purse. Naomi also sent Sophie some cute little hair things to.
Included in the package was

F:: Felted Bilby beautifully made and came with information about the animal to , and how it's unique to Australia.
R:: Ribbons to create more stuff with
I:: Indulge..... South Australian Choccies They were so yummy my husband devoured them.
E:: earrings Just beautiful (did you make these Naomi?)
N:: Novelty items ( referring to the block I think) The Aussie Exercise block, place the block on the floor and walk around it once in a circle. Then sit and watch TV knowing that you have been for a walk around the block!
D:: Doll made by Naomi the doll was scented and dyed with coffee vanilla and a mixed spice.
S:: Some things for Sophia, LOL Little purse and a cute little orange FQ for me.
Thank you Naomi I loved everything, and so did my family as you can see.
