Love is in the air....

You know as much as I try to fight it, I always get sucked into the "Hallmark" part of Valentines day. Decorations, cards, candy, and perusing etsy for the red heart things I absolutely NEED in my life.

It's also my favorite theme when it comes to creating new ideas for etsy. The hearts just get me every time.
Valentines Day in itself is just another holiday to most, but seeing decorations, and things around the house that resemble love just make us smile. I think when you have kids it just makes it that much more important to surround yourself with love and happiness. I was excited to share the new heart items I put in the shop last night. Texty fabric meets love... Well of course it's a match made in heaven.

What do you think?

I am happy to have "almost mastered" my new years resolution #2 of managing my time better. Designating time for all those things I pin on Pinterest, or tell my daughter we will do someday. It has actually made us quite happier and we manage to get more done.. Go figure!

I made Sophie the pajamas I promised her ages ago. She is a 2T waist in a size 4 girls length, so there was no way we would get away with store bought. We made a few pairs for her the other day and she was over the moon about it.

We found some cute snuggle flannel on sale at Joann's for $2.99yd and picked up a pack of shirts at Target to match each pair of bottoms. Pretty much perfection in her eyes.

What have you been up to? How are your new years resolutions coming. Have you made anything? A quilt, purse. or toothbrush holder? :)

P.S. My Friend, and local quilt shop owner Suzanne from Strawberry Patches is giving away a copy of the "Pillow Pop" book by Heather Bostic. Stop on over and try your luck.

STAY CREATIVE!

  1. The PJs are so cute. No wonder your daughter is pleased. I hemmed some pants but that's about all I've done so far. I did just buy some knit fabric to make some summer shorts.

  3. I totally agree! I tell myself I don't have to make anything else for Valentine's Day (every year!) but I always am just pulled to craft for this holiday. I LOVE, LOVE! I love hearts, the pink and red, the shimmer, the softness...everything! A couple of my crafts were recently featured on my blog.

I am glad you are managing your time, as I am not. I am floundering! I hope to get a handle on it soon. It's hard with a preschooler and owning my own business and wanting to tend to my creative needs...I know you understand :)

Love those PJ's, though. My little girl would be all over that! Thanks for the idea.
