I know that many will be holding there ears while I say this, but..... It's the holiday season!
That's right time to prepare, make decisions, and shop (or sew).
I was pretty excited that Lindsey invited me to participate in this months craft book blog hop. Mostly because it was a good excuse to start on that holiday sewing.
I was pretty excited to be a contributor to John's newest book "Pretty in Patchwork Holidays".
This and many other reasons, made it the perfect choice to share with you.
The photo's are gorgeous!
The patterns are clever!
The people who put this together are utterly AMAZING!
The best part about this book is that it's chocked full of holiday gift ideas.
The first project I choose, was Christina's wine bottle gift bag.
How fun would this be as the "go to" gift for your holiday parties this year?
As you will notice my wine bag is a little different from the one in the book. The part I like best about this book is that it leaves creativity open for you to explore your own ideas and incorporate them into the patterns. Most of them give different options as well if you feel like coming up with a new idea is just not something you like to do.
I have actually made 3 projects from this book, and adore each one to the point where it will be difficult to give them away this holiday season. (of course I will though)
I would encourage you to try out this book if your looking for quick , creative, and fun gifts to give this year. After all handmade is always the best gift.
If that hasn't persuaded you, check out this pickle pattern from John!
Did you know that the pickle ornament is a holiday tradition?
Oh, ok! I thought that would do it!

Let's get that holiday sewing moving along!
