Pillow Talk Swap 7 ~ Reveal

First of all thank you to everyone who wished me an my family safe travels through Texas. It was a very unplanned work trip for my husband, and kind of turned into a mini vacation. Our visit through midland was cut short when my husband was called away again to Fort Worth TX. I am happy to be home earlier then expected, because I missed my sewing machine very much. I also plan on posting the Superior Thread Giveaway tomorrow.

I had the chance to finally finish up my pillow talk swap for round 7. I steered away a little from what my partner originally asked for (I feel brave) and went with another photo posted on their flickr that drove me to create this. I hope that my partner loves it.

The entire pillow comes together much like a quilt so it's very thick and padded for extra cushion. I hand stitched first for those who have asked, and then backed it like a quilt to add this chevron like quilting. I think it compliments the front without being to much. I really struggled with the back because I like to add detail there as well. This pillow just called for more of a simplistic touch to it.

I also think that running stitch binding adds the perfect touch.
Crossing my fingers I took the right path for this swap.

Happy Sewing!
