Saturday Night fever.

I LOVE Saturdays! The one day every week where I feel the most productive. The hubby is home and helps me a great deal with Sophia, so that I can catch up on some work. I recently had a custom request from a lovely Etsian. She wanted a clutch done in the woodland delight fabric by Paula Prass. She was afraid that the print might be to big for the item.

After we decided to go through with it anyway, I am ecstatic the way it's turning out. Probably one of my new favorites. This fabric is so bright and cheery, I think I will have to order more.

I received orders yesterday for almost 100 items. ( I love my repeat clients SEW much.) I guess it's a good thing that I got so much done today huh. My return customers are usually the ones who get the most creative with my shop items. Different fabrics, extra pockets, stitching, you name it they will want it.

I think my new favorite part to the shop, is custom orders. It helps me expand my creativity. It always helps to have that little push to think outside the box.
What helps you think outside the box?

On another note, the ladies from our fabric group have put together a fun sewing retreat for next month. Which just so happens to come right after my 30th birthday. I am still a little scared to turn 30, but after some encouragement from friends it's really not that big of a deal anymore.

A weekend of beach waves crashing, tree's blowing, red wine pouring, and sewing machines humming. What could be a better birthday then that.
