Swap anyone?????

So I am pondering a fabric swap with all the crafty blog readers out there. Something along the lines of maybe 5x5 inch charms or even coins. A little way for us all to mix up our stash a little an have the chance to make something beautiful with it.

I am thinking maybe a coin quilt challange. Send 40 coins in all different scraps from your "designer" stash, then mix them up and send them back. When we get them create a flicker group showing off what we make with them.

What do you all think? Would there be any interest in this? It would be monitered well so that only designer fabrics can be used.
(Anything not of quality I will send back to the person who sent them make sense) sorry I am such a fabric snob :)

Who would like to take part??? I am thinking end of august early September they will be recieved by, that way when the kids go back to school we can all have a fun peacful project.

I know you all have some great idea's to, so what do you think??

Just to clarify the coins would be about 2.5 x 5 inches in an array of different prints. Some doubles are ok but no solids.

  3. Hey Terri, this sounds like fun! But I'm not quite sure I know what you mean by 'coins' ... yo-yos perhaps? And I'd be interested to know if all pieces submitted would need to be different, or could they all be from the same fabric.

I think you'll have plenty of interest in this! Good timing too with school starting and all.

  5. Whatever you decide is fine, I like the idea of all differnt, but now a dumb question, I have no idea what a coin size is!! Either way, count me it, amd I would be happy to make a buton for you if you need one.

  6. It would be fun if you managed to get 40 participants and we could each send forty cuts of the same fabric. That way each would have the same fabrics to create something spectacular.

  7. I think it's a great idea. As far as the type of fabrics, you may have to have a list of fabric designers you want included.
