You're doing it wrong

Yeah sorry but I am going to vent a little....
It seems to me that handmade is getting a little similar everywhere I look. Don't you just hate it when you think of a really great idea, and then someone comes along and changes the color of thread to call it there own design.
Or maybe a button or two, that makes it look oh so completely different. (yeah right)
Or my favorite, "well my item isn't selling so maybe if I copy hers and sell it cheaper it will.

No matter what it's still mine, weather they copy it or not it's original to me just as before. Go ahead and undercut my price, or copy my sale. I will do my best to always stay one step ahead with that great product idea. you may take my patterns and ideas, but no one can take my creativity. Thanks readers for listening to my rant.

  2. Sorry hun your still dealing with. I can totally relate. I have a "stalker" who has copied my website layout, categories, sentences from my site and put on hers. She now has a blog which is looking more like mine everyday and is joining the same blogging groups I have been a member of for awhile. I wonder when she will get her own ideas, but it has yet to happen.
Is there anyway you can stop your problem people.... copyright infringement maybe?

  6. Terri,

I'm sorry that you are having that type of a problem...

It is one thing for someone who reads your blog to see something and try to make the same quilt or whatever - but, to call it their own - Not cool!

I love to look and get ideas - but, i would never claim them as my own. Let's give credit where credit is due...

  7. OMG.....I totally feel ya, girl. This can get annoying and yes...it is prevalent with handmande. You just have to take it with a big, fat grain of salt...and laugh at the copy cat's "attempts" to undermine your creativity. They feel it....with no sales and no profits....trust me, I know!

    happy day!
