My Creative little head tends to come up with some great ideas, that usually don't come out the way I picture them in my head. However this idea I hope will be great! I have finally though up a great quilt to make with owlie fabrics.
These are some of the fabrics I just ordered and they came yesterday. I am going to do a simple 4 inch squares on the front with all these fabrics. I think I want a lighter color in between but have not made a solid decision yet.
Then on the back I am planning a great big applique owlie. Maybe with a mod looking tree and some bare branches with a few leaves dropping around.
As I picture it in my head I get more excited. This could be the coolest Idea I have ever had. OK Maybe not the coolest.
I am hoping the mix of patchwork squares and applique blend together nicely. The quilting design would probly have to be based off the applique side as well. What do you think?
I have most of the week to work on it so I will post my progress. Might take a few weeks. I tend to put a lot of detail into applique which equals twice the time
